Sep 13,2010| STFL Playoffs begin today! Just a couple of things to mention:
The home team is the higher ranked team. They are still responsible for field setup and ensuring the game sheet is filled out.
We are also asking that all members bring photo ID to each game. We have had concerns about player eligibility brought to the league's attention so there may be requests for photo ID by the officials. All players need to have played a minimum of 6 games to be eligible for playoffs. Any team with a player who is found to not be eligible will be disqualified from the remainder of playoffs.
Thank you and good luck to all teams!
Sep 9,2010 All games scheduled for tonight (Thursday, September 9) have been cancelled due to the rain. Most likely the games will be rescheduled for Sunday but we are waiting on field confirmation. Thanks!

Teams that do not submit the entry fee by the fee deadline will surrender their entry spot to a team on the waiting list. All teams on the waiting list that do not receive an entry spot will have their registration fee returned to them. All teams are guaranteed 3 games minimum. Early Bird Entry Fee: $475 - Paid in full by August 15, 2010 Regular Entry Fee: $500 - Paid in full by August 30, 2010

Jul 13,2010 The STFL board will be implementing a new rule for the second half of this season. All teams that play with a player who is not registered in our league - meaning that they have not accepted a waiver, either electronically or paper copy - will be assessed a $25.00 fine for each player not registered. You can download the paper copy of the form from the download section at the top of the home page of the website. To register online, the team contact must login using their username and password. Please see the 'Registration' link at the top of the page for instructions on managing your team roster. If you are having difficulty with this process, please contact Michelle Duchene - mduchene2@yahoo.ca Thanks!
Jul 12,2010 Any player who is ejected from a game will be required to leave the premises within a three minute period. Failure to do so will result in a delay of game penalty. If the offender does not leave within two more subsequent minutes, the non-offending team will be automatically assessed a win.
Jul 12,2010 The STFL board would like to clarify the process for rain outs. If it is raining or questionable, someone from the board will go to the fields during the lunch hour to check on the condition of the field. If it is certain that the field is not playable, we will post on the website around 1:00pm game day. We will also attempt to contact the teams involved as soon as we can. If the shape of the field is questionable, there is alot of rain in the afternoon, or there are storms around game time, these will have to be game time decisions. Please go to the fields and the decisions will be made at the field. If you have concerns about this process, please discuss with a board member. Thank you!

Jul 12,2010 Schedule | Please find attached the next 4 weeks of the schedule. Field information and linesperson duties are not listed on this PDF as we are still confirming things. For all men's teams, the swap will occur at the mid season point which is after this week. As was decided at the AGM, the top and bottom team in the B and C division will move up and down accordingly. The bottom team in A will drop to the B division and the top team in D will move up to the C division. When looking at this schedule, the teams involved in the swap assume the position of the team they are replacing. For the women, there is one more week of the first round which will be July 19-23. For games on July 25 and after, the games will be based on the standings after the first round is completed. There are some make-up games scheduled for July 18 so unfortunately we may not know until that night who is involved in the swaps but we'll try to let everyone know as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please let Dan or Laura know. Thanks!

Jul 11,2010 Please check the schedule/results tab on the home page for game information this week. Some field locations have changed. Thanks!
Jul 5,2010| Change of plans - the games originally scheduled for tonight (Monday, July 5) will now be played at Griffiths Stadium instead of Evan Hardy. However, the games will be played at 7:00 and 8:45 pm. The games scheduled for rugby will still go ahead at the originally scheduled times. It will be a game time decision to cancel if the fields are too wet but hopefully the rain will stop this afternoon.
Jun 30,2010 The B division games originally scheduled for tonight (Wednesday, June 30) for Walter Murray have been moved to Rugby 2 - the field with lights. The games originally scheduled for Evan Hardy will go ahead as well. The fields do have some wet spots so the officials will do their best to stay away from them. Good luck everyone and happy Canada Day!
Jun 24,2010| The games scheduled for Walter Murray tonight will be played on the field with goal posts. The sidelines are still extremely wet and the mosquitoes are atrocious. The field itself is fairly dry but the surrounding area is not. We recommend not bringing any fans, especially young children as they will get eaten alive. Sorry but it's our only option!
Jun 23,2010 The games originally scheduled for tonight (Wednesday, June 23) for Walter Murray have been moved to Evan Hardy. Both games at rugby will be played on the field with lights. Thanks!

Jun 1,2010 The league will be hosting another referee clinic on Sunday, June 6. The level 1 clinic will begin at 10:00 am and the level 2 clinic will follow immediately after. Please remember all first and second year teams must have two people attend the level 1 clinic if you haven't already done so. The clinic will be held at the Sask Sport Office on Cynthia Street and there is no cost to attend. The league will be paying refs with their level 2 status $28 per game this season so this is a great opportunity to make some extra cash! To register please contact Glenn Grant at 343-6520 or ggrant@alsco.com

May 31,2010 Unfortunately because of more rain and wet field conditions, both games scheduled for tonight - Monday, May 31 - at Rugby will be cancelled. However, the games scheduled for Griffiths will still be played at 7:00 pm and 8:45 pm. This rain is getting ridiculous...
May 30,2010 Teams, The STFL has now placed a new 8x8 container shed at Walter Murray (beside the school's existing metal shed). I have made up keys for each team and have started to hand them out. Besides the pads needed for goal posts, also in the shed are NEW game sheets to use for this year. Please pickup these new sheets. I would also ask that you return any old style game sheets to the shed for us to collect. I will try to stop by the games that I can to give out the keys this week, but ask that you contact me to arrange to get your team's key ASAP. My home number is : 373-3488 My email address is : bradley.r@sasktel.net Thank you.

May 27,2010 First Half Schedule | Here is the schedule for the first half of the season. Please ensure you take note of the last column, which indicates the linesperson assignments. Good luck!
May 27,2010 The games originally scheduled for Walter Murray tonight have been moved to Rugby 2 (with lights). The games at Evan Hardy will be played as originally scheduled. We may look at playing 15 min quarters rather than 20 min quarters to beat the rain.
May 26,2010 The games at Walter Murray will be cancelled tonight due to the field conditions. Both games at rugby will be played on the field with lights at the times originally scheduled.
May 25,2010 Linesperson Guidelines | Here is a copy of the linesperson duties - it may be helpful to keep a copy in your team bag!
May 25,2010| Hey everyone! Due to the fabulous weather, all games will be cancelled tonight! Someone from the league will contact the teams affected by this to reschedule the games. Sorry!
May 24,2010 Just a reminder to all the teams regarding the linesperson. The linesperson should be at the game no later than 10 minutes prior to kickoff. The linesperson should be wearing appropriate footwear (ie cleats or runner - not sandals or flip flops) and they should have their own whistles. The teams should all have been provided with linesperson instructions, so please ensure that these have been read prior to the game.
May 24,2010 The STFL shed at Walter Murray has burned down, including the contents within. We have purchased another shed and it will be set up on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. We will have pads at the field tonight (Monday, May 24th). Further details will follow regarding shed keys and other information needed. Please contact the executive if you have any further concerns.
May 15,2010| Just a reminder that the home teams are responsible for ensuring that the fields are marked and equipped with goal post pads.
Four goal post pads are needed at Evan Hardy. These need to be picked up from the shed at Walter Murray, with your shed key. Rugby goal post pads are kept in the white shed on the east side of the rugby fields, in between the two fields. There is no key needed for this shed. Please make sure that you also have a game sheet, which is also found in the shed at Walter Murray.
Every team should have their own pylons for marking each field, a sheet which indicates how the field is set up, and a shed key.
If you need a shed key or pylons, please contact Glenn Grant at 343-6520.
May 10,2010 The new online registration has begun! All team reps should have received an email with specific instructions on registering your team. Good luck!
